In the end Qin Wu was defeated and hacked apart and his essence was refinded by Shi Hao, and is abosrbed by his supreme bone. Five Phase Mountain attempts to stop him fails, it accuses the Little Pagoda of causing his death while Little Pagoda replied Shi Hao would stop at nothing to kill him anyway, by killing him the matter ended (because of his grandfather)

Shi Hao of course being his usual self retorts to Five Phase Mountain

“So what if I killed him?!” Shi Hao replied. He was calm and collected as he looked at Five Phase Mountain. He didn’t shrink back in the slightest.

“You’re right, it is just that simple. So what if you killed him?” The little pagoda shone. Strand after strand of primal chaos spiraled above Shi Hao’s head to block that tremendous will.

“Are you forcing me to start a war against you?” Five Phase Mountain trembled. The surface of the mountain cracked apart, and the form inside was gradually revealed, one that was simple and grave in manner.

“Then let’s just fight. Who is scared of who? At worst, we’ll just reopen this realm!” The little pagoda was snow white and flickering with lustre. It was incomparably powerful.

due to where the messages went, it kind of reminded me someone I knew who could have been used as a bioweapon due to how bad it smelled when he passed gas. Then I was amused by another memory of some girls who tried to cover up when they farted by coughing but it never worked.

Reminds me of a friend who was drunk and was pulled over by cops, he ate a lot of garlic or was it onion before the cop came to the window try and cheat the breath analyzer. Police asked him for his licence and registration, as soon as he opened his mouth to reply the smell of the garlic or onion was so overpowering that it stunned the cop, He was charged with assaulting an officer as well as obstruction lol.

I actually saw a news article in the last 2 months of something like that, but the person was arrested because he farted in the presence of a cop and was arrested for the same thing. To be honest, I'm surprised they can arrest people for that considering there are medical conditions behind some of it happening and not just because a woman is pregnant. Also, let's not forget certain medications cause that to happen too.

As for next episode, I’m just a lil worried as I didn’t see any sign of Little Pagoda. I would riot if the studio cuts his part out. He’s my second fav sidekick of the MC. Speaking of which, they better not cut out my fav, the Divine Striking Stone as well. He and Lil’ Pagoda are the best partners in crime of Shi Hao! Can’t wait to see how they ransack the treasury of Immortal Mountain!

There was a guy with a funky hairstyle in the preview and I’m guessing it’s the “son of Kun Peng/Whale Roc” whom they imprisoned under the Five Phase Mountain. Yes, Qin Clan (in the lower realm) is rotten to the core. Only the Immortal Qin in the upper realm is somewhat decent but that is for much later. We haven’t even reach the Great Battle of the Lower Realm yet.

I’d like to share my thoughts about the storyline after seeing some comments about the plot development or the lack thereof.

First of all, the author Chen Dong is one of the most long-winded authors I’ve come across or more precisely Perfect World is a frustratingly drawn-out novel. It’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. But the story is indeed very profound and poignant. Not sure if everyone watches Fanren Xiu Xian, Perfect World is rather similar. The only difference is the former is an autobiography and the latter is a biography or a combination of both.

PW recounts the MC’s very tragic life journey and growth, and it’s done in an overly detailed manner. In fact, there was an outcry from the Chinese novel fans regarding the excessive deletion of scenes and plots in the donghua. Trust me they have done away with a lot of subplots and minor characters to the discontent of many fans.

I personally feel the pacing is fine, one just needs to accept that PW is a very action based story. One of the most used or misused phrases in the novel is “Shi Hao slaughtered his way through..”. The MC literally struggles through every stage of his life with blood, toil, tears and sweat.

Yeah I grew frustrated with it as the story progressed as it got darker, and I thought to myself the title shouldnt be Perfect World, should be something else lol, but I understand the irony Chen Dong was presenting

And not to mention that it helps to read the other two novels that connects with this one even though it provides some background knowledge, but it isnt necessary to read them, so people! dont panic lol

Actually that is exactly what I like about PW. The scope and breadth of it is so much larger and wider than DD. Although both novels cater mostly for male readers, PW is a lot darker.

I’m tempted to read “Shrouding the Heaven” since the donghua is coming out soon. After almost finishing the plain and elementary DD5, I’m looking forward to something deeper and more sophisticated. The only dilemma I’m facing is which one should I read first: BTTH or StH? 🤔

Have you read PW? I usually read the novels with donghua adaptations that I’m watching. At least for me, it complements my watching experience. Why don’t you begin with PW if you have not started already?

You can find PW on Wuxiaworld although it requires subscription/karma points in order to access the translated chapters. Alternatively (although I don’t encourage piracy) you can find the same copies on allnovelfull . com. ** just delete the spaces in between.

I actually quite enjoyed Douluo Dalu (Soul Land). It’s a completely different style and it’s much shorter and lighter to read. You can find the translated version on bluesilvertranslations.

Good luck on starting with Chinese novels! Once you get used to the writing style and the various Chinese concepts, you will definitely come back for more.

lol, u again... seems we have a lot of similar tastes! Saw you on dramacool. I find this series to be dragging on, it was supposed to be done by now but it got a green light apparently and now its extended. You can clearly see they are dragging/stretching this out. What exactly happened this episode? Conclusion from the last episode which wasn't much cause he pretty much beat him last episode, then some bs and another cliffhanger. So when I say boring and pointless its not the show perse its more so how they are dishing it out! 20 minutes is a lot of time for an episode, and when you have minimal plot movement at such a critical juncture its kind of a turn off. Meaning rather than sit around like a cat in heat waiting for this bullsht, I;ll just let it simmer for a month then watch several episodes at once.

to each there own... I was just pointing out that this is going to take a while and they are going to drag this out cause they got another 50+ episodes added to the original 70 something. In terms of plot progression not much happened this episode if anything especially for a full length show. You can notice how the plot and episodes started to thin out and drag out in these later episodes, job security you don't just give it all away.... I never said the show was bad, this is episode 75 so obviously i am a fan to keep up thus far, so sorry for not being an obnoxious fanboy! Your awesome and amazing! Take care friend!
